Had a roast. My partner had the pork I had the beef we enjoyed both. Not so keen on the ginger pudding. Very friendly staff, landlord and landlady. Over all very pleased
The landlady was extremely friendly. we had a few drinks with the children and a meal and I have to say it was all fantastic and we will definitely be going back
New Years Eve and decided to visit a local for a pint. Checked on website prior to going to see if they allowed dogs. After arriving, the pub bar had a few customers but the two other rooms were quite empty. Our dog is small and very friendly, she was a crowd pleaser, except for the barman, who was frosty to say the least. He was not happy we were in the pub with a dog, yet he was the only one objecting. Do not advertise you accept dogs and then give your punters a hard time. It's not good for business. Secondly, the dog was more entertaining than what you had provided. We will not be returning, even though we live locally.
A great pub, traditional in every respect. The recent refurb is outstanding and retains the proper pub feel. Food is delicious (thank you chef for an amazing liver, gravy and mash tonight) landlord and landlady (Kim) are very friendly, warm, and welcoming. Above all, they are decent and genuine people, love this pub and so glad to call it my local.
We are please, have a nice local pub been mordernise. Wine is good and friendly new owner. Haven't try the steak night yet! Hoping have special offer for foods and drink on the board.
