ive been with this surgery for 12 years and although i have no faults with the doctors and nurses themselves, the receptionists have absolutely awful customer service and dont make the slightest attempt to make you feel welcome and invited, needs improvement
Amazing! I went in late desperate for an appointment they got a GP to call me (within minutes) I had a prescription at reception and headed next door. Fantastic personable service so glad I registered here!
I cannot fault this surgery, both the reception staff and the doctors are fantastic.
Frankly it is impossible to see a Dr unless you book 3 weeks before. Stupid system. I don't know if this is their fault or not but the way this surgery is organised is awful.
Weve used The Porch Surgery for nearly 15 years - ever since we moved to the town.Weve always been well looked after and felt that we could ask any question.Like all GP surgeries, The Porch does get busy, but in our experience the staff have always gone out of their way to help one way or another.In this day and age its ridiculous to hope that you can get an appointment with a particular GP the same day, but depending on how urgent your need to speak to or see someone, will usually dictate what course of access is available.For instance, the receptionists can arrange for a duty nurse or doctor to ring back that day if you just need over the phone advice; other wise they can offer an appointment with one of the duty nurse practitioners (normally highly experience sisters - these are our preferred choice as they are extremely knowledgeable, can prescribe meds or refer you to a GP if needed); or they may be able to offer an appointment with the duty doctor.Given the growth rate of our town Im really proud of our practice and what they have done to support our family!
